About Colorado What To Do
A plain, independent guide to activities, regions and itineraries across Colorado, edited in Denver.
The short version
Who Runs This Guide
ColoradoWhatToDo.com answers one question: what should you actually do in Colorado, given the region, the season and the people you are traveling with? It is organized around regions, itineraries and activities, and it puts the permit and reservation rules up front, because those are what ruin trips most often.
The guide is edited by Zach Wennstedt, who grew up in Boulder and is based in Denver. Zach founded the Denver marketing firm Eye To Ad Media, and Search Converts LLC is the publisher. We are not part of any government agency, tourism board or attraction. Listings are chosen by our editors; any sponsored placement is labelled.
What is here
What The Site Covers
- Six regional guides, from the Front Range to southwest Colorado, plus an overview of all regions.
- Itineraries: a 10-day road trip loop and weekend getaways from Denver.
- Activity and season guides: hot springs, winter, fall, fun, free and kid-friendly ideas.
- A filterable finder of 36 places on the home page, with the current reservation rules.
For festivals and the events calendar, see our companion site Colorado What's Up. The two sites cover different ground: that one tracks what is happening and when; this one covers where to go and what to do there.

How The Site Is Funded
